oldschool original funk
Lint, formed in early 2010, is the brainchild of Jesse Lee, multi-instrumentalist and award-winning vinyl disc jockey.
Members past and present include:
Rich Rabnett (Rabnett 5, Drive If You Must) -- guitar
Jimmy Lewis (Wasabi Collective, Terradactagon) -- drums
Ben Euerby (Brian Rosen & the WhatNow, Knome Studios) -- keys
Jesse Lee (Dirt Floor, Shane Koyczan & The Short Story Long) -- bass
Clinton Swanson (Clinton Swanson & Friends, Hornography) -- saxophone
Lint plays original hard-hitting, instrumental, syncopated, dancefloor-friendly funk tunes penned by Jesse Lee and arranged by the whole band. Jesse writes music as if trying to pretend that history stopped in 1975. "I just like helping people dance," he says. If dancing is good for the soul (which, of course, it most certainly is), then Lint is a soul doctor with a PHD in Git-Down.
Lint has opened for, or shared the stage with, such notables as Big Sam's Funky Nation, Juno-winner Alex Cuba, the Polyrhythmics, Von Butcher, Dr. Oop, and Five Alarm Funk.
